How we tend to your cashmere
Anti-moth Treatment
Moths love munching on animal fibers. We freeze your cashmere to decontaminate it, killing any eggs or lingering larvae.
Pilling Removal
You don't have to put up with those little tufts of loose fibers. We'll gently de-pille your cashmere by hand, using a special comb.
Wash, Dry & Prep
You can wash cashmere at home, but we'll also treat it with our formulated anti-moth conditioner, protecting it for the season ahead.
Maintenance
We want you to go anywhere with your Golightly knits. When those inevitable snags or holes appear, send us your cashmere and we'll expertly mend it.
We love extending the life of your knits.
Please contact us if your cashmere has excessive damage, and allow 2–3 weeks to care for your knits — and up to 6–8 weeks if received in November, December, or January.
Please note: Our Tend and Mend policy is not a substitute for your role in caring for your lifetime knit. If your Golightly is accidentally over-washed and your cashmere shrinks, there is very little we can do about it. If your dog chews it and it unravels, we cannot re-knit it. “Guaranteed Forever” means we will repair where possible and always stand by our work. If it is a case of neglect or bad luck, whereby moths eat your beloved, we can repair up to 10 holes, each the size of a pencil eraser. Beyond that, we can provide free darning yarn or charge a fee for the excessive damage. Please see our care instructions for more information.
